About the Artist
Mr.Bonzk hails from Maiduguri in the Northeast of Nigeria, where he was born on November 27th. He started singing at a very young age, picking up his first instrument (guitar) at the age of 15. In 2018, with encouragement from family and friends, he joined an 8-member group called The Prince International Band as their lead singer.

Mr. Bonzk has been a long time artist from Maiduguri who has made it his goal to use music as a way of healing the city he loves. Sha zamani is an R&B artist from Niger that sings about love, personal relationships, and making better choices. Sha zamani being based in Nigeria wanted to do something for her friends who were impacted by the violence in Maiduguri so she reached out to Mr.
The Lyrics
Sha zamani is an up-and-coming pop artist from Maiduguri, Borno State Nigeria. She is a vocalist, songwriter, recording artist. Her first single - So Beautiful was premiered in October 2018. Mr Bonzk is also from Maiduguri and he too is an upcoming Nigerian Rapper with the rap name Kaiotona. His music career started when he was 19 years old.
Behind the Song
The song was written in the spirit of unity that the people of Maiduguri share, with the hope of capturing their will to overcome adversity. A collaboration of music from Maiduguri artists Sha zamani and Mr Bonzk, Sha zamani Featuring Mr Bonzk with Music For You is a fun mix between Africa Pop styles coupled with Nigerian Hip Hop. The single also incorporates dancehall vibes on a llorin beat-box.
Contacting Mr Bonzk and Sha zamani
After connecting with Shazaman via Facebook messenger, I was able to have a brief conversation about the release of their new music. The release is actually called Sha zamani Featuring Mr Bonzk with Music For You, in which both musicians came together to record an album. One of the songs that I was able to preview is called 'Tashi Muje.'It talks about how Tashi Muje (a sedative) leaves one speechless.
